bordeaux

The second leg of our trip was in Bordeaux, France and the surrounding area to visit our friends Carine and Anthony, whom we met on CouchSurfing. They stayed with us during their trip to the U.S. in 2009, and we really hit it off (in fact, we even said that they are the French version of us).

What’s a better welcome to Bordeaux than a bottle of it?

Anthony

Anthony had to work the first day, so Carine took us into the city center. The first train was packed, so we waited for the next one to come.

We climbed 240 of the steepest stairs in the narrowest staircase ever to get up here, but man, was it worth it.

There are more from the first day, but I’ll save them for another post. Cheers šŸ™‚
